Mahoning County High School to Hold Its Eighth Graduation Ceremony Since School’s Inception
Youngstown, Ohio, May May 24, 2017 The Mahoning County High School, a public community school that provides educational opportunities to students, focusing on credit recovery, drop-out prevention and block scheduling in a structured setting will hold its eight graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 25, 2017. The ceremony will be held at the former P. Ross Berry building, 940 Bryn Mawr Avenue beginning promptly at 11:15am.
This years’ graduating class is comprised of students who have successfully completed all requirements for graduation while overcoming personal and academic challenges. Working cooperatively with Mahoning County High Schools and Mahoning County Juvenile Court, the Mahoning County High School provides an alternative venue to ensure academic success for students who choose to rededicate themselves and commit to fulfilling the program’s various requirements. Many graduates from previous years have matriculated to higher education programs and successful careers.
Janet Tarpley, Parent Project Director at Mahoning County Juvenile Court will serve as commencement speaker and Torin Logan will serve as student commencement speaker.
