Magistrate Patzak-Vendetti also serves in the capacity of Vice-Chair of the Commission on Dispute Resolution. In a letter by Justice Sharon Kennedy, Justice Kennedy states, “the Ohio Supreme Court could not meet its constitutional and statutory duty to regulate the practice of law and maintain superintendence over the courts in Ohio without the willingness of representatives to serve on the Commotion on Dispute Resolution.”
Atty. Patzak-Vendetti earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration from Youngstown State University, Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and Master of Public Administration from Kent State University. She began her career at Mahoning County Juvenile Court in 2001 as an Intake Hearing Officer, was appointed Magistrate by the Honorable Theresa Dellick in July 2007, the same year she became Director of Court Mediation Services. In 2017, Judge Dellick appointed her to serve as Magistrate for Family Dependency Treatment Court, one of Juvenile Court’s six Specialized Dockets.
Judge Theresa Dellick acknowledges that,” Magistrate Patzak-Vendetti’s extensive training, experience and knowledge regarding mediation is a valuable asset to the Court, as is the level of professionalism she displays each and every day. The services that she provides to the residents of Mahoning County and throughout the State of Ohio, is a testament to her commitment to the law and most importantly, to resolving matters before the Court.” ###
