[ARCHIVED] Mahoning County Commissioners Press Conference concerning CARES Act Funds

The Board of Mahoning County Commissioners will hold a Press Conference at 10:45 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2020 after the Commissioners’ Board Meeting to announce the various agencies/or departments that will be receiving funds from the CARES Act. 

Mahoning County received $3,717,716.65 from the State of Ohio, Office of Budget and Management’s Coronavirus Relief Funds Government Assistance Program. The Board will follow the guidelines issued by the U.S. Treasury and the State of Ohio to distribute the funds. 

In addition to County’s offices/departments expenses, funds may also be used to provide economic support to small businesses impacted by the business interruptions, to provide goods and services to the community where necessary clue to the 2020 COVID-19 public health emergency. The Board will be adopting resolutions at tomorrow’s board meeting before the press conference.
