2021 Auditor Sale to Be Held on September 22, 2021

Mahoning County – Mahoning County Auditor Ralph T. Meacham is announcing that his office will hold the Auditor Sale of Forfeited Land on Wednesday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room of the Mahoning County Courthouse.

The parcels in the forfeited land sale have been offered for sale at two Sheriff sales and were not sold.  The properties are then forfeited to the State of Ohio for the Auditor to sell as an agent of the State.

Bidders must be preregistered by Thursday, September 16, 2021 in order to bid on properties in this sale.  NO REGISTRATION WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE DAY OF THE SALE.

Bidders must submit all three completed Preregistration Forms to the Mahoning County Auditor’s Office by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Affidavits must be notarized before submitting. No notary is available in the Mahoning County Courthouse. Notarized forms can be submitted in person or by mail, but postmarks of September 16 or after will not be accepted. Emails will not be accepted.

The list of parcels being offered for sale, rules of the sale and the preregistration packet can be found on the Auditor’s web page which can be accessed through the Mahoning County Communicator website– www.mahoningcountyoh.gov – or interested parties can call 330-740-2010 to request the forms be mailed to them.

“I encourage anyone who may be interested in purchasing a property to review the information on our website as this is a buyer beware sale. The County Auditor does not give any representation regarding possession, eviction, prior inspection, scheduled demolition, health code violation, or any other matter,” Auditor Meacham stated.
