[ARCHIVED] Mahoning County Commissioners will be celebrating and recognizing “National County Government Month”

PRESS RELEASE

The Board of Mahoning County Commissioners will be celebrating and recognizing “National County Government Month” during the month of April at their Thursday April 21st board meeting.

This month highlights how local leaders work to build healthy, safe and vibrant counties for the people they serve. Counties are the state’s partner in delivering critical services such as justice and public safety, infrastructure, child and senior protective services.  We want to take this opportunity to recognize the efforts of our fellow public servants and staff who work diligently to carry out these essential functions.

Mahoning County is a very special and we hope that residents explore the many ways their county serves them and helps to make it a great place to call home.

We are also recognizing “Civic Day” with the Struthers high school students who will be touring the Mahoning County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., and attending our meeting at 10:00 a.m., along with Mayor of Struthers, Catherine Cercone Miller and elected officials.

Interviews and pictures will be welcomed after the presentation.
